Today I just felt the need to express my sincere opinion about the difference of understanding the mere basic steps that, I belief, the rich took to arrive at the high podiums in which they are able to climb up and up with no reason to fall.
The steps they took is a simple one and that is to know this simple equation for the mind:-
"IT IS NOT ABOUT HOW MUCH MONEY YOU EARN...ITS ALL ABOUT HOW MUCH OF THAT HARD EARN MONEY YOU 'SAVE','PROTECT'AND'INVEST'TO BUILD YOUR WEALTH"
In much simpler term is how you manage your finances is most important.
It urks me to hear people say things like "I change my job to earn more money","How can I make more money?" and "You should upgrade yourself (profesionally and/or academically) to earn more money"
I believe this kind of talk are sending a somewhat negative message to the real method to achieve financial freedom..Instead, I think all of us should seriously look at ways to manage our hard earn money better and be discipline enough to start having a lifestyle that do not exceed our income...So instead of asking someone "Hey, how much do you earn as an engineer?"..we should be asking them " How many zeros are there in your bank account?" or " How much do you save every month?"
If I was to pinpoint a mistake that stops or deny us the opportunity to achieve financial freedom..I would say that the inability have delayed gratification towards the things that we want..like for example..our handphone..what is the main difference between a simple "$0" dollar phone compared to a "$700" up to date nd technologically advance PDA phone in terms of their basic functions, which is to make and receive calls as well as SMSes...None right?..So which one would you choose?
